About the University of Lethbridge

The University of Lethbridge was founded in 1967 and is one of Canada's top-ranked universities and leading research institutions.  In 2019, the Science Commons opened on campus at the University of Lethbridge.  This state-of-the-art research building is one of the most advanced facilities for science education and research in Canada.  

The University of Lethbridge is home to the Canadian Center for Behavioral Neuroscience, multiple Canada research chairs in blossoming fields and has been ranked as a top 3 research university in the undergraduate category for four consecutive years.



With a friendly atmosphere, a beautiful green campus and world-class training programs, the University of Lethbridge is more than a great place to learn, it is a great place to be.  

The motto of the University of Lethbridge is "Fiat Lux" which means let there be light and refers to the illumination that stems from learning and research.
